What we collect

From a brief: name, email, the commission you selected, optional viewing date, issue or page notes, and your message. From a visit: the same, plus any accessibility note you give us. We do not ask for wallet keys, payment-card numbers on this form, or special-category data.

Why

We use this information to reply to briefs, schedule viewings, produce editions, post companions, and keep provenance records. The legal bases are contract (or steps toward a contract) and legitimate interests in running a small atelier. Cookie choices are described on the cookies page.

Retention

Unsuccessful briefs are kept for twelve months. Commission files, edition numbers, and provenance notes are kept for seven years so we can confirm a cap if asked later. Viewing diaries are kept for two years.

Your rights

You may ask for access, correction, erasure, restriction, or objection, and data portability where the basis is contract. You may complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office. We do not sell mailing lists.

International transfers

Email and file tools may store copies on servers outside the United Kingdom. Where that happens we rely on the provider’s UK-approved transfer mechanism. Paper companions are posted from Salterforth to the address you give.

Processors

We use a web host to serve this static site and an email provider to read briefs. They process data only on our instructions.
