Terms of commission

These terms govern briefs accepted by Digital Lanehub (“we”, “us”) from a collector or client (“you”). By sending a brief or paying a deposit you accept them. They are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction, Digital Lanehub being established in Great Britain.

The work

We provide editorial sequencing, motion timing, print companions, consultations, viewings, and provenance notes as described on this site. We do not sell Marvel characters, issue copyright, or an open marketplace. Licensed use of page art is your responsibility unless we have confirmed a reprint partner in writing.

Briefs and approval

A commission starts when we accept the brief in writing and, for collector editions, when the markup deposit is paid. Board markup is submitted for your approval. Work after approval follows the locked boards unless we both agree a change in writing, which may alter the quote.

Intellectual property

Underlying X-Men page art remains with its rightsholders. Our timing sheets, markup, colour-hold notes, and companion layout are licensed to you for the agreed edition cap and personal display. You may not raise the cap, mint beyond the cap, or present the motion file as an unlimited issue. We may show process stills of original markup (not licensed page art) in the atelier unless you object in the brief.

Payment

Deposits and balances follow the rates page. Informational prices are not an offer until we quote. Unpaid balances mean the motion file and companion stay with us.

Liability

We take reasonable care with files and posted paper. We are not liable for token-venue outages, wallet mishandling, or secondary-market prices. Our liability for a commission is limited to the fees you paid us for that commission, except where law does not allow a limit (death or personal injury caused by negligence, or fraud).

Cancellation

See the refund notice for deposits, work already started, and viewings. Consumer rights under UK law are not excluded where they apply.
