X-Men motion-panel collector edition

Who this is for

Collectors who already care about a specific X-Men sequence — a corridor walk, a school-gate splash, a quiet two-shot on the Blackbird — and want that sequence to exist as a numbered Marvel NFT comic with motion that respects the page. It is not for people hunting a first-day drop or a tradable clip with no reading order.

What you receive

• A timed motion file of the agreed panels, with hold lengths written on a timing sheet.
• A print companion on archival stock, trimmed to the same reading order as the motion file.
• A provenance note naming source issue, edition number, colour-hold sign-off, and cap.
• A minting brief for the venue you nominate, or for a partner we already work with. We do not custody wallets.

What we will not do

We do not write new X-Men plot, redraw faces to “update” a costume era, or raise an edition cap after the first file leaves the atelier. We will not time a page you cannot show a right to use. Licensed reprint partners are discussed in the first call, not after colour.

How the weeks run

1. Brief and rights check — you send issue, page numbers, and any existing scans. Malcolm confirms the cap.
2. Board markup — Rowan pencils gutter beats on a printed proof. You see this before any motion file is built.
3. Colour holds — Priya locks costume yellows and reds so they do not drift between panels.
4. Motion pass — holds, eases, and balloon drift only where the page already suggests them.
5. Companion and note — print check against the file, then posting from Salterforth.

Typical duration is Six to ten weeks from approved boards to finished edition. Delivery is Prepared in the Salterforth atelier; remote briefs welcome from collectors in the UK and abroad. You do not need to visit, though a private viewing before the brief is useful if the sequence is contested in your own collection.

Preparation

Bring page numbers, a note on which era of costume you want held (classic, 1990s, Krakoa-era cloth, and so on), and a preferred cap of ten, twenty-five, or fifty. If dialogue must remain letter-perfect, say so; some balloons have to move into a gutter beat to keep the motion readable.

Price basis

From £2,400 for a three-panel sequence. Longer issues, denser lettering, and extra print companions are quoted after the board markup. A deposit of one third is due when the markup is approved; the balance is due before we release the motion file. See rates and refunds.
